So Ms. Faux walked into her local Sephora recently and took a looky loo at the Urban Decay Vice Palette. Now I know this has been around for a bit by now and it was always one that I was pretty sure I was not interested in. That was until recently when I started delving into color and heavy saturation.
I decided to give the palette a whirl, but know with Urban Decay and eyeshadows, this is a calculated risk. They are in my opinion THE best at eye shadows. Their color selection is amazing. Their formulations is second to none. They are... THE BEST!. Their eye game is on fleek. So... basically I am saying when it comes to eyeshadows, with Urban Decay, buy with confidence. I have yet to be disappointed.
But back to the vice palette. It is very colorful, but with some great neutrals, highlighters and transition shades. I mean... just look.
Otherwise, "Bones, Frames, Discreet & Grip," are the gorgeous neutral transition shades/highlight shades that are completely usable for day to day looks. There are beautiful coral/orange looks with "Bitter and Flame." A delightful purple look with, "Low & Robbery." There are gorgeous Smoky looks with "Delete, Deadbeat & Pandemonium." Then there are some fun summer lining shades with, "Arctic, Grasshopper and 1985." For real, I looked at this palette with a really critical, but non-imaginative eye at first, but the more that I look at it, the more I realize it will break me into color which my eye game so desperately needs. Also... it does so with completely wearable and beautiful colors. I would not expect any less from Urban Decay. That being said, though I'm a huge Gwen Stefani fan, I still have not bought into that palette. I think it is right for the right person who has Ms. Stefani's hair color. That is not me. I am the opposite. Who knows though where I will be in a few months.
I repeat... Urban Decay gets eyeshadows. I cannot sing their praises enough. They are the best. The queen of all eyeshadows. I cannot wait to further explore this palette. I recommend it for those just getting into color or experts in that arena. I like it better thank the Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca palette in that I think it is a more conservative route into color. This is not a bash to the Mi Vida Loca palette. I think that is THE palette of the holidays.

This one is just for those that are a little more buttoned up and need to dip their toe in like Ms. Faux. Also if you didn't get one of the Mi Vida Loca palettes I think you may be out of luck as they are currently sold out.
So there you go. My take on an unexpected bundle of joy.
Have you tried either of these palettes?
What did you think?
Ms. Faux Wants to know. Leave it in the comments.
Also if ya'll love it please tell all of your friends and follow her on the following sites. If you don't... tell your enemies and just sit back and laugh at how they were sent to my ramblings. And remember... if you don't look good, then Ms. Faux be lookin' like a damn fool.
