Every year Ms. Faux throws a Favorite Things party where participants come together and exchange gifts, around $20, dirty Santa style. The caveat of the gift is that it is a participant's favorite thing, so while in a rare occurrence where you may end up with something you can't use (trust it is rare because most of these things are amazing) you will see a lot of stuff that you are going to want to try. This year Ms. Faux saw a number of things that she would give the Ms. Faux seal of approval on and could have been hers.
So here we go. The 5th Annual Favorite Things Party... list of gifts. This is Part 1 as this haul was huge, so keep coming back as I keep adding to this list.

What does Ms. Faux think?
So Ms. Faux is a bit O.C.D. so I'm not sure what I would gain from this book as my general life is about organizing and de-cluttering, I however will likely give it a look to see if there is anything that I can garner. I know one of the ideas in the book is if the items in your home are propelling you forward or holding you in the past. That is something that Ms. Faux thinks she could benefit from so I will likely look.
This gift was given by Ms. Faux's good friend Ms. Meg.
What is it? According to Ms. Faux as these are self explanatory...
The candle is a basic un-scented candle, a pomegranate scented body butter and two versions of dark chocolate covered treats from Trader Joe's
What does Ms. Faux think?
This gift was given by Ms. Faux's good friend Ms. Erin. Her reason was that every woman deserves a little pampering. Now while Ms. Faux is inundated with candles at the moment and I haven't tried this particular candle, I can say that I am in love with the fresh scent of the Pomegranate Body Butter and Trader Joe's has become pros at throwing some dark chocolate on everything and it is delicious. I don't buy these for that reason. I cannot be stopped. That is to say both of these items are perfection.
Also although I have linked several different links above as Trader Joe's does not list their products online, of course you can find all of these products in Trader Joe's. Go quickly however because some items may be seasonal.
What is it? According to MacCosmetics.com...
Brownish Orange-Red Matte Lipstick
Formulated to shade, define and showcase the lips. Hundreds of hues, high-fashion textures. The iconic product that made M·A·C famous.
What does Ms. Faux think?
Hunties this is a gorgeous red and one based in brown which makes it a little more wearable of an orange red for skin tones. Orange tends to be better for skin tones that are warmer, but the brown really does make it a bit more wearable.
This gift was given by Ms. Faux's good friend, Ms. Marla who his a chili pepper herself so she would know. Also Ms. Marla brought along the next gift as well...

What does Ms. Faux think?
I have to admit Ms. Faux is not in the know and this is a product of all products that intrigued her. I will get back to you but based on their website it is best for these applications:
Top 10 Beauty Uses
1. Long lasting lip-gloss
2. Cheek shine
3. Eye gloss for a dewy look
4. Eyebrow shaping
5. Lip primer - helps prevent blotching
6. As a mixer for pigments
7. Perfect for ‘glitter lips’, ‘eye glitter’ & diamantes
8. Skin Primer – smoothes flakey skin before foundation
9. Smooth fly away hair
10. Gloss nails naturally
Top 10 Skincare Uses
11. Chapped lips
12. Dry cuticles
13. Dry skin patches
14. Fine lines under the eyes
15. Split ends
16. Eye lashes
17. Itchy and sore skin
18. Small cuts, burns & abrasions
19. Sore noses from blowing
20. Sore nipples from breastfeeding
Now... you know Ms. Faux do love a product that is multi-use and this looks like it fits just that bill. I have ordered it and when I get it, I will let you know about most of the uses listed above, with perhaps an exception in the breastfeeding department. I will say Ms. Marla is a mother and vouched for that area. One thing Ms. Faux does believe in however is lanolin so I do think I will love this. Well played Ms. Marla... you have introduced Ms. Faux to something new.
What is it? According to Ms. Marla...
She swears by keeping this thing on her key ring. While the one above is the one she gave, I found the ones below (which is what I linked above). Ms. Marla says she got hers at Bed, Bath and Beyond. My search has left me empty for a link so I offer the ones below that are linked above.
What does Ms. Faux think?
I agree with Ms. Marla in there are many times that I wish I had a nail file on me as I'm consistently catching my nails on something or other. I love this idea and they are relatively inexpensive.
So there you go... the first from the Favorite Things Party! Check back for more a little later as we had like 20 guests so there are tons.
