So this is a downer post, at least to me. Lemmy Kilmister died tonight and he (though he never knew it) was part of my life since I was a teenager. Lemmy was so ballsy and just said stuff that I gravitated to. This one was a big one for me.
I grew up in a very small town in the south and really when I looked around there was no one like me that I could see. I would sit for hours in my room listening to music and reading about my musical heroes. Lemmy was one of them because he said stuff that I thought and that in the small town south was not really acceptable. I credit him in some part for changing how I think and knowing that how I thought was o.k.
R.I.P. Lemmy Kilmister. You will be missed. You remain the coolest man once on earth, but now in wherever you are.
