So as you know, every year Ms. Faux throws her annual Favorite Things Party. The ladies convene. We drink. We eat. We do our dirty santa where we give away our, "Favorite Things," albeit that are in a $20 range.
So this year Ms. Faux had several ideas. The first was killed due to availability Costco. Dammit Costco, you done cost someone a delightful Sherpa Throw. FYI... you can still order them from Costco.com (I've linked it). Then I thought of my favorite beauty tool...
What is it? According to Sephora.com...
What it is:
An edgeless, non-disposable, high-definition cosmetic sponge applicator made especially for professionals.
What it does:
Beautyblender® Pro is the perfect application method for darker-toned products that would be difficult to rinse clean from a lighter colored applicator. Use with complexion products, long-wear makeup, and self-tanners for flawless results.
What else you need to know:
Beautyblender Pro features an open cell structure that fills with small amounts of water when wet. This allows the sponge to be “full” so that the makeup product sits on top of the sponge rather than being absorbed, allowing you to use less product every time. When wet, beautyblender doubles in size and becomes even softer, returning to its original size when it air dries. Handcrafted in the USA.
What does Ms. Faux think?
Well Ms. Faux thinks this thing is magic. "I'll just pick up a cheaper one at the drug store," you might say. Think again. I really have never seen or used anything that is like this tool. Trust. Also check out the number of Ms. Faux Blogs About Beauty Blenders, that I have features. This tool is well loved. I have three of them in different colors. No reason. Though I am partial to the black one for some reason.
You can use them wet or dry. I prefer wet most of the time as I primarily use them for foundation and concealer application as well as just to meld together my makeup. I also use them dry to press in powder if I decide to bake my face. It picks up and places product perfectly, and with the egg like shape it allows for pin point precision on one end and more full coverage with the base. Though Ms. Faux doesn't faux tan, I could see where this would be an amazing product to blur any harsh tan areas on the hands, elbows and knees.
Seriously this beauty is magic and not something that I think someone would just throw down $20 for. Do it though and you will never go back to drug store cosmetic sponges.

| BeautyBlender Cleaner 5 oz. for $18 at Sephora.com |
Ms. Faux simply shells out for this wonderous cleaner that is similar and must cheaper.
Not only does this clean your BeautyBlender like a dream, but also your brushes and is an amazing eye makeup remover in the shower.
So there you go. Another Faux idea for a holiday gift or stocking stuffer.
