Project Inspiration Friendship

So Ms. FauxPrah do have a care in the world for her friends.  Gurl got to protect her interest and Ms. FauxPrah's friends are where it be child.  You know the old phrase...

Well Ms. FauxPrah know that to be true.  And if you do so with your friends then you will be fed for life.  One of the best people that nourishes Ms. FauxPrah is her one of her longest friends in Chicago, Ms. Lori.

Now.... Ms. Lori reminds Ms. FauxPrah of everything warm, rich and spicy in life.  When she think of Ms. Lori she thinks of clove, cinnamon, sandalwood, tobacco flower, patchouli and red wine.  More so Ms. FauxPrah think of one of her favorite songs by Mr. Bob Dylan Boots of Spanish Leather (available on iTunes) off the album The Times They Are A-Changin'.

When I think of Spanish leather I think of quality... rich, layered, complex, dependable quality.  It is wonderfully intoxicating,  It tells a story.  It is the best.  That reminds me of Lori.  Warm, loving, resilient, rich, layered, complex, dependable and intoxicating.

So below are some of Ms. FauxPrah's Favorites that absolutely remind her of this special creature.

Paddywax Tabacco & Patchouli Apothecary Candle $19 at paddywax.com is #1.  It is a delicious soy candle with just what it says, hints of tobacco and patchouli.  It also do make ms. FauxPrah think of summers in the south and the delicious smell of tobacco.  Ms. FauxPrah may not partake, but she do care for the smell of a beautiful unlit leaf.  If this don't warm you up then your cold heart may just be dead.

Next is tea and Ms. Dolly Parton said it best in Steel Magnolias tea is the house wine of the south,  If Miss Parton say it, we know it to be true.  Clearly she was sent here from God.

Though in that instance she was talkin' about sweet tea and forgive her for sayin' (and Ms. FauxPrah may lose her southern card for doin' so) but there ain't no sweet tea touchin' her lips.  Too much sugar hunties.  Her next love though that reminds her of Miss Lori are two hot teas.  Cause she so HAWT!  One is from Harney & Sons and the other is from Pukka.

Harney and Sons may be FauxPrah's favorite hot tea ever.  It taste as if it is infused with hot cinnamon oil.  So hot that in fact about a cup or two will do or it could cause some tummy trouble for Ms. FauxPrah.  It is made with three types of cinnamon, orange peel and clove.  This black tea is delicious and can be found at Harney & Sons, Amazon.com, Teavana and other outlets.

Next is Pukka's Three Cinnamon tea.  This tea is as if someone made a tea using cinnamon powder.  That is the flavor only.  There is no chalky taste and is a lot easier on the tums than Harney & Sons.  No I initially found this tea at Amazon.com while searching for Harney & Sons and gave it a whirl because like I said, Ms FauxPrah lives for Harney & Sons, just her stomach die.  This is somewhat comparable without killing the belly.  I also found this at Plum Market and various other outlets online.  The tea is primarily sold in the UK.    A triumph.

Next Ms. FauxPrah do care for a bath and this next product is like Ms. Lori has drawn it for her.  It is Lush's Bubblegrub Bubble Bar.

Ms. FauxPrah done did a little video for you right here you you can get an idea of how this product weeks!  Hopefully this video do werk.  If not Ms. FauxPrah will look up a version somewhere that does werk and post it in the comments.  These damn people in this computer machine are not helping Ms. FauxPrah.

And hunties it do.  I died and then I lived.  Such a luxury.  The sandalwood is the part that remind Ms. FauxPrah so much of Ms. Lori.  It is DELICIOUS.  Go soon though because this is only a spring find at LUSH.  They will discontinue.  And trust hunties... they always do.  Ms. FauxPrah's favorite perfume is only released so often and then goes away for years.  I may eventually grow the courage to talk about it at another time but it always do break Ms. FauxPrah's heart.

This also gave Ms. FauxPrah a great idea to display these lovely bath bombs in her bathroom on a gorgeous cake tray of some sort.  I will post more on that when I decide to do.

Now Ms. FauxPrah found hers at Plum Market but they claim to also be sold at Barnes & Noble (oh remember the bookstore) and Target.  Amazon however was the cheapest by $3 anywhere else.  It is exactly what it says, just a journal to jot a memory, or a thought.  Ms. FauxPrah do care for the idea as she loves quotes and ideas that inspire.  Her other best good friend Ms. Tay Tay started #365daysoftaytaythanks on May 21st of last year to show that even in the toughest of times there are always things to be grateful for.  The end date of that practice for her is just around the corner and what was seemingly an exercise for her in the beginning has turned into the easiest thing the world.  The heart does grow stronger when you exercise it

 And Miss Tay Tay's heart is so much stronger now that Lord help the person she unleashes that love upon.  But this idea of journaling comes from none other than Ms. Lori.

Lastly Ms. Lori reminds Ms. FauxPrah of one of her favorite Oud Perfume by Jo Malone.

Now Oud is a resin found in the agar tree and other like species.  It has both a smoky and medicinal quality to it.  It is found in India, Malaysia and other South Asian countries.  The resin is actually created from an infected portion of the tree and is burned down and distilled with steam.  It is primarily an eastern scent and is known for its sensual qualities as well as purification qualities when used in ayurvedic practice.  I also love that it is created from a flaw.  It is a wonderfully unexpected beautiful flaw. 

This scent is like Ms. FauxPrah and Ms. Lori went out and played because Ms. FauxPrah do care for some bergamot.  It is seductive.  It is intoxicating.  It is pure Ms. Lori.

And lastly... wouldn't be a blog about Ms. Lori without some red wine and I tell you what Ms. FauxPrah do like to do.  She do care to pair it with some delicious chocolate ice cream.  Ms. FauxPrah you done lost your damn mind," you might say.  No hunty... I just found my right one.  Ms. FauxPrah's favorite pairing of this treat is Cabernet Sauvignon and with her good friends Mr. Ben & Mr. Jerry and their delicious S'mores Ice Cream.  It is approximately $5 at most grocery stores and is the perfect mix of everything heavenly.  Graham crackers, marshmallow and delicious, delicious chocolate.  

Now Ms. FauxPrah is a pretty private person who do not like to air her dirty laundry, but I have a bit of a bone to pick with Mr. Ben & Mr. Jerry.  Bring back the Chilly Willy Nelson Peach Cobbler Ice Cream.  Bring it back I say.  You are testing our friendship.  O.k. enough of that.

I love to pair this beautiful ice cream with a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon because it can stand up to the chocolate.  It is a very popular wine and its popularity is often attributed to its ease of cultivation—the grapes have thick skins much like Ms. Lori.  She is a strong ass lady. 

Ms. FauxPrah's Favorite is Ravenswood Winery 2010 Vintners Blend Cabernet Sauvignon (approximately $12).  It has flavors of blackberry, black currant, vanilla and toasted oak.  I think the toasty oak is why it pairs so well with a toasty smore.  Plus Ms. FauxPrah do care for a blackberry.  Her favorite fruit right after the strawberry.

Now why this blend.  First it is amazing.  I started drinking it when they created their 2005 blend and think I got that recommendation from Food & Wine Magazine.  Second, it is affordable.  It is one of the best bottles of cabernet that I have tried and definitely one of the best under $15.  Now before you drink I do suggest pouring through an aerator for instant gratification or allowing it to open up on its own.  So delicious, it is like Ms. FauxPrah is rolling around naked in a field of blackberries.  But enough of that it is Ms. Lori's story.

And lastly this is a beauty blog and while I have mentioned some beauty products I haven't mentioned a make up.  All my friends I feel have a signature lip color.  Ms. Lori has not ever told me hers if she has it, but I can't help but think of her when I put on my MAC Dazzleglass in "Get Rich Quick" $20 at MAC.  It is a warm yellow brown that would pair well with Ms. Lori's warm olive skin, hair and heart.

The thing about this gloss, aside from its impeccable beauty is that it has a sheer application to make your lips look their best,  but the absolute bees knees is that it has flecks of glitter in it that mimic quartz and opal crystal.  Now don't know if I mentioned before but Ms. FauxPrah design lighting and I can tell you whatever they put in this is just perfect.  Just the right amount of shimmer without looking crazy and fake.  It just make your lips look luscious and kissable.

So there you go... things that Make Ms. FauxPrah go mmmmmmmm.  All because they reminder of her cuddly and warm hearted friend Ms. Lori.  I can't imagine life without her.  She makes my life oh so much sweeter.  Now Everybody Dance Now!
