#DateMe & Wrinkle Relief: FauxPrah's Best Girlfriend Date With Katrine & Robyn Pt. 2 - AVEENO

Child as if the night couldn't get better after seeing my beautiful friend Robyn's triumph of a show, #DateMe: An OKCupid Experiment (see Pt. 1 of this post on my blog for a full review) at Chicago's renowned Second City UP Comedy theatre, we went across the street to Corcoran's Grill and Pub for some drink ups and catch ups.  We started with mojitos and let the girl talk flow.

Now we at first could not do anything but shower Ms. Robyn with compliments on this show.  We are so very proud of her and by the results you can tell this show was truly a labor of love.

Running Through May 10th

Everyone can relate to something in this show.  Ms. FauxPrah has been in terrible relationships and got enough squirrels circling her nut to know the dating world is sometimes a frustratingly awkward and frightening place that you just need to laugh at.  Well she laughed.  She laughed her canned hams off.  So we talked craziness and more importantly fine lines.

Now Ms. FauxPrah can say her friends look a good 10 years younger than what she thought each of them were.  These hunties are beauties and although Ms. FauxPrah doesn't really believe in cosmetic surgery or procedures for herself, to each their own.  I believe workin' with what the good lord gave ya.  Ms.  FauxPrah also admit that she isn't very religious.  So essentially she believe in working with what a God that does not exist bestowed upon you.  Seems suspect.  We however talked botox which Ms. FauxPrah was interested mostly due to the Suez Canal that seems to show up between Ms. FauxPrah's eyebrows.

As of yet Ms. FauxPrah has not taken on such measures and to be truthful, probably won't, however I do believe in taking care of your skin and she has fallen in love with a very affordable product line in Aveeno Positively Radiant Skincare Products.  But before we go into that I will note before these get brought into play Ms. FauxPrah remove her make-up with an all-time favorite MAC Cleanse Off Oil $31 at MAC Online or Cosmetics Stores

To take off her make up, Ms. FauxPrah use a flannel cloth much like Bumkins Reusable Flannel Wipes found for $10 on Amazon.  "Now FauxPrah," you say, "aren't these being for babies?"  Why yes hunty, but they make a lovely make up remover and is the less expensive way to buy flannel cloths.  "And FauxPrah, why you be using flannel cloths?"  Well I have found they are less abrasive on the skin and Ms. FauxPrah do gots a very sensitive eye area.

So, after taking off her make up, lately I have been using the following products.

So what be FauxPrah trying of this brand.  Truthful I have not tried everything, but the ones I have tried I have loved.  And let FauxPrah preach... THEY SMELL HEAVENLY!

#1 AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

So FauxPrah do agree with almost everything here, except I would use it twice weekly at most.  I think any more would be too harsh on the skin and remove too many natural oils.  It does leave the skin feeling soft and I think replacing the next product below a couple of days out of the week would improve skin greatly.

It is an exquisite product however and even won itself a editor's choice award in 2013

#2 AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Brightening Cleanser

Formulated with ACTIVE NATURALS® moisture-rich soy extract, it lifts away dirt, oil and makeup leaving your skin looking luminous. It is gentle enough for everyday use. It’s also oil free, hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic."

To this... Ms. FauxPrah agree.  It has some exfoliating action, however not too drying to the skin.  A perfect cleanser in my perfect opinion.  J/K Ms. FauxPrah far from perfect, but this is the perfect cleanser.

Now... when Ms. FauxPrah being a lazy dog she counts on the following in bed.  Remember hunties it is important to always remove your make up, but I sometimes know the difficulty of making that trek to the bathroom when I have managed to get myself in bed.  So I keep these on my night stand.

So what do Ms. FauxPrah say?  I agree again with most of this.  It is perfect for removing make up in bed.  I do prefer my regular routine in the bath or at the bath sink, however when you are draggin' your hams in that bed, this works perfectly fine.  They remind me of a lot of Roc Brand Daily Resurfacing Disks, which I have had difficulty finding in recent years.  I mean they are almost exactly alike in my opinion.

The one criticism I had for them is now an asset.  I felt they were too moist.  When I would clean my eye make up off it would sting, but I have found using the textured side first to remove make up from the rest of your face and then squeezing out some of the product before using the soft side on your eyes, solves this problem.  Just make sure you have a trashcan by your bed.

What do FauxPrah say?  Do believe the hype.  As of right now this is her daily moisturizers.  Night time moisturizers right now are a mixed bag.  My skin felt soft for  most of the day.  It is definitely not dull and blotchy and again I don't have bad brown spots or texture, but the tone of my skin is a delight.  Also with a SPF 15 sunscreen, how can you go wrong?  I will also note that I read somewhere that Aveeno was ranked one of the best daily SPF sunscreen moisturizers.  Something to think about.

At around about $7 for the cleansers and $16 for the one moisturizer reviewed here, I will say this is a cost effective and excellent solution for skin care.  The brand is widely available at Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens and other drug and cosmetic stores and is worth every penny.

Now Ms. FauxPrah has not tried the night time creme and it doesn't have as high a rating on the Aveeno Website, but would love to hear your thoughts and comments on that as well as the other products in this line.  If you have feedback on them or anything else you would like to see in my blog, please leave your feedback in the comments below
