Home Depot: America's Beauty Palace

So FauxPrah what for you knowin about Home Depot?  Well I tell you if you asked most people I know more often it would be what do you know about beauty products.  See most days Ms. FauxPrah is more likely to be diagnosing a building issue, building something at her home or just running around fresh faced.  What these fools don't know is that my fresh face is the best of moisturizers.  She do care about her skin.

Still Ms. FauxPrah is a contradiction of herself.  She do love girly things but just as happy with power tools, making things and/or watching any number of sporting events.  Go Pistons, Yankees, Red Wings and Saints!!!  She can talk to you about the late eighties/early 90s Detroit Pistons for hours, but she also knows how to work an acetylene torch.  Truth hunties!

Deeeeeeetroit Baaaaaaad Boooooys!

So I am at Home Depot at least one day a week, more so than I ever am in places buying makeup.  In that time I have found some items to help building my make up counter, organize, etc...  I will do a later post on that, but today I am going to share a couple of beauty products.  What the hell?  Yes you heard me.  Home Depot be carrying beauty products.  :)  Here are a couple of FauxPrah's favorites.

Soooooo.... You ever wear that gorgeous glitter nail polish?  So you know how much of a pain in the canned hams it is to get it off.  Sephora even sells their Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover For Glitter Polish for $9.50.  That is salty as hell, especially since their secret weapon is?  A tiny little scrubber inside of a spongy nail polish remover bath.  You can see the tiny little scrubber below.

So Ms. FauxPrah be like, "well that just be a Scotch Brite Scouring Pad.  I could only find a link for them on Target, but like Target a pack of 4 costs $2.99.  You can cut them and get like pads bigger than the one in the picture above and easier to hold.

But FauxPrah what about the finger soak.  Well you can just stick your finger in a bottle of nail polish remover or if you are like me, just refill your Sephora bottle that you stupidly bought not knowing the Scotch Brite trick.  Works like a charm.

FauxPrah's other Home Deport beauty product is actually product.  O'Keeffe's Working Hands Hand Cream, $6.79 at Home Depot.

It is a lovely product that I like to put on at night under some moisturizing gloves.  I wake up and my cuticles and hands are soft as Ms. FauxPrah's bottom.  So how did FauxPrah come to know about this... well like any fine southern lady, Ms. FauxPrah do care for a bit of gardenin'.  Nothing rougher on the old hands and cuticles then gettin' your hands in old mother nature and she a dirty bird.

And that's not all...  O'Keeffe's also make a similar formula for your feet.  If you ever been through a Chicago winter with the boots we wear you could have dead skin off our feet like fresh grated parmesan cheese.

Trust.  FauxPrah Preach!!!  You can however also find both of these products at AmazonTarget and Walgreen's to name a few.  All under $7 each.

So ladies do yourself a favor, get to Home Depot for the finest in beauty products.  And remember you should always treat yourself because...
