MUST HAVES FOR YOUR FEET
FOR WINTER IN CHICAGO
So ya'll know Ms. Faux be livin' in Chicago and when that winter comes rollin' in you know it don't play. "What for you be doin' that to us Chicago?' At any rate here are some items that keep Ms. Faux's skin from dryin' out and fallin' off.
Well first of all Ms. Faux will begin with the lovely Microplane Colossal Pedicure Rasp (Foot File) $8.31 at Amazon.com
What is it? According to Microplane...
It can be trusted to keep feet in beach ready condition all year round! Tough calluses and dry skin quickly disappear! The latest application of a unique Microplane etching process created the innovative “micro-file” design, which removes dry skin without much effort. The tiny files are immediately effective, amazingly easy, and surprisingly gentle leaving feet feeling smooth and refreshed.
What does Ms. Faux think?
Well ya'll better serve yaself up a plate of spaghetti because it is gonna look like you grated off a plate of Parmesan for it.

| This is actual Parmesan, or so I think. Might want to check your waiter's feet. |
Seriously anyone that lives in, "boot climate," knows the toll it takes on your feet. You end up with heels so hard you could build a house with them. This piece of equipment however makes light of hard work. The thing I love most about it is that it leaves the foot feeling not rough looking but rather smooth.
Next I like to pair it with my favorite foot creme...
Containing a high concentration of glycerin, Healthy Feet draws in and retains moisture, which is necessary for healthy-feeling, hydrated skin. Healthy Feet contains increased levels of Allantoin than Working Hands, the formula helps to penetrate thicker and rougher surface skin on the feet. Best of all, O’Keeffe’s works fast. Most people start seeing results in only a couple days.
Apply the cream to exfoliated skin at bedtime and after bathing, as these are the most effective times for moisturizing extremely dry skin.

Well my feet do not look like that because I use O'Keeffe's now. I first discovered it when I got the Healthy Hands version for my engineers at work. As you can imagine they battle dry hands in the winter with show shoveling, salt distribution, etc... The hand stuff worked so well on their cracked knuckles that I figured why not give the feet a go.
Now this is not the fanciest packaging, or the nicest of smells (it is scentless), but what this does do is moisturized extremely dry skin. I can't imagine my life without it.
And lastly in the winter Ms. Faux recommends pampering yourself.
Go get a pedicure. Seems like the weirdest time to get a pedicure as you are not showing off your toes, however I have found it to be the thing that makes Ms. Faux's toes glow... and also her feet feel real good. Those wonderful people work magic on getting rid of the crap that makes your feet just feel awful. Indulge my hunties. Treat yoself!
What are some of your favorite winter tips?
Please let Ms. Faux know. She wants to try them out.
