Review: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer $12.99 at ULTA.com

So Ms. Faux is on a mission recently for lightweight, but affordable foundations.  I have the expensive stuff, but I do feel there are other products out there that are just as good that you can find in your local drugstore.  Today I found just such a product with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer.

What is it?  According to ULTA.com...

Healthy Skin Enhancer is an alternative to foundation that provides everything you need for softer, healthier and younger-looking skin in one beautiful step. This dermatologist-developed formula contains a vitamin-rich Retinol treatment to visibly smooth fine lines and reduce signs of aging. It nourishes skin and protects against future sun damage with a weightless SPF 20 moisturizer. Each skin-enhancing shade provides a sheer tint of color for a more even, naturally beautiful look. Available in six sheer shades. Each shade works on multiple skin tones for easier shade selection. Enjoy the power of three daily essentials in one beautiful step.

SPF 20. Oil-free. Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). Available in 6 sheer, skin-enhancing tints. 3 Daily essentials in one.

What does Ms. Faux think?

I love it.  It is an early Sunday morning and Ms. Faux has a rare early engagement that has her running out the door.  It is light coverage and Ms. Faux applied with a Beauty Blender so as to make her skin just look better and less tired.  It worked like a charm.  It isn't heavy and it blends with your skin just to give a very healthy look.  I would recommend for an every day foundation for those that don't need heavy coverage and definitely a lightweight foundation for those days where you just need to make your skin look a little less tired.  I think my only fault of this product is that I don't think this is enough SPF, but I also think you should layer your SPF with moisturizers that contain it as well.

Want to complete the look that Ms. Faux did today then check out below.

Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow $11.99 at ULTA.com

This is a beautiful highlighting palette that again just gives the complexion a more enhanced and polished look.  I swept a little on my cheekbones with the lightest shade near the top as a highlighter.  I also used the middle shade as a quick eyeshadow and again finished off with the lightest shade on the brow bone for a bit of a highlight.  So easy and so quick with on simple palette.

Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel $24 at ULTA.com

This is Ms. Faux's go to when she needs a quick brow, and we all know how Ms. Faux feels about her brows.  It frames your face and even in the most rushed of mornings is one of the most worthy cosmetics.  A few swipes and you instantly look more awake.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Lengths Mascara $6.99 at Target.com

Since Ms. Faux was going for a very simple and fresh look, all I really needed was my lashes just to look like they are there.  Not spidery.  Not full.  Not thick.  Nice, clean and lengthened was what I was going for and this mascara is perfect for that.

Again it is just a very clean, fresh faced look.  Your lips but better with a bit of shimmer to again make your complexion look fresh.

It is perfection and just makes your lips look nice, moisturized and plump.

So there you go.  A review and added extra products that helped get Ms. Faux's tired old bones out the door this morning.
