Pass or Play: Becca Cosmetics

BECCA Shadow and Light Brow Contour Mousse $25 at Sephora.com

What is it?  According to Sephora....

What it is:
An instant, dual-definition brush-on brow mousse and highlighter to perfectly define brows.

What it does:
Becca Shadow & Light Brow Contour Mousse provides contours and highlights the brows to create fuller-looking arches to beautifully frame the face. The Brow Enhancing Mousse side (darker shade) thickens, fills in gaps, and extends the brows with advanced technology fibers that adhere to existing brow hairs and the skin—creating the most natural-looking, hair-like effect. The Arch Defining Crème—the highlighter shade—accentuates and sharpens for perfectly-defined brows. Long-lasting, water-resistant, and smudge proof, these formulas stay put and leave a natural-looking finish.

What did Ms. Faux think?

It isn't the worst product on the market...  That is not an endorsement.  There are so many better ones however.  As Ms. Faux's disclaimer she does waffle around when it comes to brow products.  Pencils, mousse, liquid, and powders... I try them all.  I generally always come back to powders however because they look the most natural.

This product is limited in it's color range and I found that the mousse is a bit difficult to navigate. For those that are not used to filling their brows I do NOT recommend this, powders are easier.  This does look great for a more dramatic look, but again is pretty messy to navigate.  Ms. Faux has worked her brows for years and knows to dip in your brush, wipe the excess on your hand and still it was almost a bit much.  I ended up brushing it out and powdering.  I really could not figure out how to make this more natural without a lot of work.  And the highlighter... well I really didn't get that.  If you want a good highlighter, just get Becca's OPAL.  It is beautiful and brilliant.  Becca as a matter of fact is brilliant for skin perfectors and highlighters.  I don't know how this could be such a miss.

So yes... it is a pass, especially for the money.

I would rather spend my duckets on Maybelline's Brow Drama so I can save for my favorite other Becca products.

So there you go.  What do you think of this product?

What is your favorite Becca product or Brow Product?
