So Ms. Faux took a much needed night off from her usually hectic work schedule on Thursday to see the one and only R. Kelly.
So some would find it odd that Ms. Faux loves some R. Kelly, but to be honest Ms. Faux is a HUGE fan of all sorts of music. Old school and Old Old School R&B are particularly her favorites.
Regardless of his crazy lyrics, Mr. Kelly was blessed with a voice that has amazing range and can produce a song within an inch of its life. Also the fact that he takes himself so seriously is hilarious because he clearly is a bit ridiculous. By a bit ridiculous I clearly mean completely absurd. I spent most of the concert laughing my ass off. Just goes to prove if you enter a situation to have fun you always will.
Mr. Kelly is from Chicago, this was in the Chicago Theatre and the night was just perfect because he took the crazy to 11. Here is a little taste of Ms. Faux's favorite R. Kelly Song, "Cookie."

I went with my good friend Mr. Rudy who, good lord, that boy knows all the lyrics. It was a blast. Add that to the Belgium Beer Kwak that Ms. Faux fell in love with when she visited Bruges and good old fried Cheese Curds. My idea of a perfect night. Cheesy lyrics and cheesy curds. Delish.
