Talk about an Ace of Spades (this will make sense in a minute if you don't already get it), Kat Von D may have introduced to the market the palette of the year, but one that Ms. Faux probably will not imbibe in. How is this possible? How can Ms. Faux review a palette she herself would not use. Easy. Please indulge me. Here it is...

The name of this palette comes from one of Kat’s favorite tattoos, meaning “My Crazy Life” in Spanish. Like all Kat Von D Beauty products, the eye shadows in this palette were not tested on animals.
Kat asked her fans to name their all-time favorite Kat Von D palette. And the winner was….Mi Vida Loca. This holiday’s new hit, Mi Vida Loca Remix, features brand new shades inspired by the bold brights from Kat’s former bestselling palette. The packaging features original portrait drawn by Kat Von D herself.
What does Ms. Faux think?
I love Kat Von D and that she has created a cosmetics line. Why? Because I don't think anyone understands color, shadow, highlights, etc... like an artist and she is a tattoo artist. She gets dimension, texture, color, etc... better than most. It is what she has dedicated her life to. Maybe not in cosmetics, but she gets it.
So why is Ms. Faux not going to buy this palette? Well Ms. Faux and her make up is a bit more conservative. This palette is bursting with gorgeous, highly pigmented colors. Not necessarily in Ms. Faux's wheelhouse, but that doesn't not make it a colorful, wonderful, dream.
Also... the formulation is incredible, blendable perfection just like Ms. Von D do. She gets it. Also she has the best names for colors. Ms. Faux's favorite is the, "Ace of Spades," in the color wheel called Lemmy.
Clearly named after Motorhead lead singer and Kat Von D buddy, Lemmy Kilmister, this is a sentimental favorite as I looooooooove Motorhead, especially Lemmy... and so does Kat.
Seriously though, it isn't a palette for Ms. Faux, but Kat just gets it and I think she may have the palette of the year on her hands at least in the early runnings.
