So here it is. The top five products that keep Ms. Faux from looking like a damn freak!
#1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel $22 at Sephora.com
What is it? According to Sephora.com...
What it is:
A tinted brow gel.
What it is formulated to do:
For those with thin, sparse brows, this unique, botanical formula gives the appearance of fuller, thicker brows. The combination of cream and gel effortlessly defines and fills in the look of brows while controlling and shaping without flaking or fading.
What else you need to know:
The non-greasy formula can easily be removed at night with a facial cleanser or makeup remover. Housed in a sleek, portable tube that allows for precise, no-mess application, Anastasia's Tinted Brow Gel is perfect for instant brow touch-ups anyplace, anytime. It's the must-have tool for any beauty-savvy woman.
What does Ms. Faux think?
Ms. Faux's must do on a face is your brows. I've said it. Hell, I've preached it. Sometimes I don't have time, but this product helps you make time. Just a couple of quick swipes and BAM! brows.
It doesn't create that perfectly sculpted brow (I recommend a powder for that) but it does darken whatcho mamma gave ya and helps to fill in sparse brows. This natural look is something Ms. Faux has taken to recently as well and is not having her brows so carefully manicured. Just tweezing from time to time to get the grandpa brows that grow below the regular brow line. Who knows how long this will last. I'm fickle with brow maintenance types, but not brow maintenance.
It also comes in an array of different colors so something there for everyone.
Now... My only hesitation on this and I hesitate to even give a hesitation because it is Anastasia. I think their logo is, "where brows began." If not, it should be. Anyway here it is... If you are not experienced with this product you may want to test it out a few times when you have time to clean up smudges. The larger brush (which I actually prefer) can be hard to navigate/control and it is possible to get clumps of product where you don't want it. If you want a smaller brush head, I recommend Benefit Gimme Brow $24 at Sephora.com.
2. MAC 209 Eyeliner Brush $20 at maccosmetics.com.
What is it? According to maccosmetics.com...
A fine tipped synthetic fibre brush that delivers a precise, firm, even stroke with which to line the eyes. Use with liquid or creme products. MAC professional brushes are hand sculpted and assembled using the finest quality materials. They feature wood handles and nickel-platted brass ferrules.

I will give a shout out to my Sonia Kashuk brush set featured in last week's Fab Five Friday - Particularly brush No. 9. It is what started me down this path. This week however this is the brush that I have reached for.
I have found it perfect for powders as well to provide a softer line of the eye and also to give a lesser smoked out eye with my shadow. I. LOVE. THIS. BRUSH.
3. NYX Cosmetics Clear Proof It Eyebrow Primer $6.99 at ULTA.com
What is it? According to ulta.com...
Smooth and conditioning, NYX Proof It Eye Brow Primer Clear eyebrow gel sets your brows in place all day, rain or shine. Apply over brows before shaping with powder to keep them in control. Their formulation was made specially formulated for thin, sparse brows.
Preps and primes brows for application and seals them in place for long-lasting waterproof wear.
What does Ms. Faux think?
Oy! Again with the disclaimers... So again Ms. Faux has not note that she is not endorsed by NYX Cosmetics. Based on her blog it would seem that she is, but she is not. Wish I were. Even if I were I would still give my honest opinion. I just think however that they make really good, affordable products. And with Ulta $3.50 coupons and regular sales for NYX they are crazy affordable.
Disclaimers done... This product got Ms. Faux to switch from her Anastasia Eyebrow Gel to powder at the end of the week. This stuff is a dream. It does what it says and primes your brows for product. Swipe some on. Tend to other make up while it dries down a bit and then fill in with powder. My brows look amazing, and lets just say those things are runnin' wild right now because Ms. Faux has not had a trim in a couple of months.
