Sex on the Beach - To Tide You Over While I Write Fab 5 Friday

Sex on the beach is the only way that Ms. Faux can describe the deliciousness that is BECCA Cosmetics.  Though Ms. Faux's skin doesn't look like it has seen the light of day in about 20 years (no she is not a vampire), she does care for a natural, sun kissed or flushed look.  But the safe way.

Ms. Faux Is That You?

Becca Cosmetics is her go to gal for perfection in beachy, dewy, makeup.  Amongst her favorites include the following.  What's the hype.  As I have gone on record a very simple look is my favorite.  Most people tell me I look better without make up and the drag sisters I know agree.  And we all know those ladies do live for the make up.

This all probably has to do with my light skin tone, delicate Native American features and somewhat hooded eyes.  My face kind of is its own lighting grid.  I will say however it does do better with some enhancement.  Some disagree, I say, "gurl I gots to look at this face on the daily."  To each their own.

Although I love Ms. Bianca another one of favorite queens is a more androgynous/simplistic one, Ms. Raja Gemini.

Now a point of reference.  I know Ms. Raja got crucified for this outfit being not PC enough and I say... We are all a little to PC.  Ms. Faux thinks that you have to laugh at stereotypes in their damn face.  That is called educating yourself and not taking things as an offense.  I'm quite positive Ms. Raja never meant to this to be offensive.  I mean... she a drag queen.  I'm sure she has had her own struggle and just laughs her way through it.  I'm part Native American and I saw the beauty in her because that is what I chose to see.  Just putting the thought out there.

Rose Gold Swatched and Blended

Ms. Faux does love a glowing face and when you can't make it hunty... you fake it.  This lovely skin perfector in Rose Gold is perfect for a summer glow.  For a cheaper alternative check out Ms. Faux's favorite affordable line NYX.

As you can see there are various shades.  Ms. Faux has fig, guava and an older "strawberry," one that is kind of like the watermelon swatch above that she loves.  This is the perfect stain for that no make up look.

Ms. Faux got the Lychee/Opal and Watermelon/Moonstone.  This unlike the regular beach tint is a little more pigmented and is buildable.  Ms. Faux uses her finger to build hers and thanks to her trusty beautyblender never worries about to much color as you can just blend it away.

A dab will do you with this lovely brightening corrector.  Ms. Faux doesn't have a terrible issue with dark circles, but found that this was perfection for simply brightening up the eye area.  It can go from light to higher levels of brightening depending on your needs.  It has a sticky texture that holds eye make up beautifully as well if you are looking for a two in one product as Ms. Faux will be when she goes on her trip very soon.  Fear not though it dries down to perfect skin feeling perfection.

So there you go... the ultimate in that beachy/natural look for the summer. Ms. Faux is a huge fan of BECCA Cosmetics.  A little pricey, but they do have those products that just work, so I feel well worth the splurge.
