LET'S GET NAKED!!!
Naked does have two other naked matte palettes but in the spirit of giving these their due I will simply cover the originals.
Now hunties these palettes let me say have had many attempts to duplicate, they however are rarely ever as successful. Loreal has had Nude 1 & Nude 2, Maybelline has had The Nudes and even high end brands such as Marc Jacobs has had Style Eye-con No. 7 and Bobbi Brown with her Shimmer Brick Palette, have all gotten in on the action. But as I have always heard, if you can't do it better, don't try to replicate it. All of these attempts run anywhere from $8 to almost $70 for the higher end palettes.
No one in Ms. FauxPrah's very humble opinion has gotten it right though, with the exception of the Balm Nude Dude Eyeshadow Palette which I'm sorry, just kills all others for packaging concept. I mean... it is damned hilarious. I'm not even sure how much I like the colors, but the packaging is ON POINT! Preach!

Anyway, back to the queens. Naked first released what is now known as Naked 1. Now known because it did so well they kept the line going.

My only criticism of this palette is that I really don't like the packaging as much as the two that followed. It is a velvet cardboard packaging and Naked 2 & 3 were metal packaging which seem more durable. I also preferred the double ended brush in the second and third versions. This palette is likely my least favorite of the three, but credit where credit is due, it is the little engine that created the railways of nude eye palettes.
The shades are universally flattering (which is probably why the palette did so well) with a very urban color range. The beauty of this palette and all of the naked line is that it transitions so well from day to night. For swatches please go to the end of the blog.
Next there was what Ms. FauxPrah calls a damn real girls make up dream.

It is the color of the neutral heavens. Naked 2 is every possible nude that you could ever need. Why? Because it is made up of Ms. FauxPrah's perfect color... taupes. It is full of taupe and grey beige neutrals. This palette I also believe shows the versatility in a neutral color and has more usable colors.
If you are even questioning what palette to get and you can only get one, this is the palette. It is one of Ms. FauxPrah's holy grails of make-up. Taupe is a universal color and you will more than likely find lip shades that you already have that will pair well with the palette. And on this as you can see they did the metal packaging and double ended brush which is better for an all over eye look.
And last as a possible expansion of some of the better colors of Naked 2 Urban Decay came along and gave us the glory that is...

With Naked 3 I feel like Urban Decay had already taught the lesson of neutrals and then came out with their first Intensive Study in specific colors. A color story if you will. In this respect, rose hued neutrals. This palette is absolute perfection. Better than Naked 2 you say? No because I feel they are palettes accomplishing two very different things. Naked 2 is a study in neutrals wherein naked 3 is a specific study of a specific color of neutral. Even the last, "Blackheart," color has a red micro glitter to further drive home the rose hued color story. So while I still stick to my guns that Naked 2 is the perfect neutral palette, Naked 3 is the perfect color story. And as you can see they again stuck with the metal packaging with the dual end brush. I dream of the day that they repackage Naked 1. But for those who like this brush know that it will fit in the Naked 1 palette holder. You can just switch it out.
Each shadow features Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power, and blend ability And whatever that blend is, honey child it do work. PREACH URBAN DECAY!
Stay tuned, Ms. FauxPrah is soon to review the Princesses. The little sisters to Naked 1, 2, & 3. Naked Basics 1 & 2.
