Fab Five Friday: 5.18.2015

Ooooooh hunties!  This was hard this week as Ms. FauxPrah like most men has been very non-commital and she done entered a bit of crazyville, but all is well as she is back in her world of blissful love, happiness and downright silliness.  So onward and you done do know Ms. FauxPrah is always moving upward.  So here it is hunties...

Deez be Ms. FauxPrah top 5 used products of the week.  And as I mentioned this was hard because I tended to be all over the place with product this week, but without a doubt these are the products that most often made the cut.

1.Matrix Oil Wonders in Color Care Oil in Egyptian Hibiscus

Matrix Oil Wonders Egyptian Hibiscus Color Care Oil $24 @ ULTA
No hunties Ms. FauxPrah does not receive a drop of money from the Matrix company and yet these hair oils remain.  There is a reason for that.  They are amazing as hell.  Not only do they make hair more manageable and shiny, but they also help protect color.  That's right, Ms. FauxPrah ain't a natural brunette, no she lightens it from being damn near black.  The brilliance of this product though is it takes less time to blow dry your hair and Ms. FauxPrah be on the go hunties.

2.  MAC Cosmetics Cream Color Base in Dusk & Root

MAC Cosmetics Cream Color Base in Dusk (left) & Root (right) $21 each @ MAC

So Ms. Faux do love this product because Ms. Faux do love herself a multi-use product.  MAC claims that it is a versatile and multi-purpose cream colour base can be applied directly to bare skin or layered over foundation, moisturizer or powder.  apply with a bruch, sponge or fingers.  Colour effects range from a light veil to highly dramatic, depending on method of application.

MAC don't be wrong hunties.  Ms. Faux loves the beautiful either sheer or more intense (if layered) look this gives on your eyes and cheeks.  Now Ms. Faux does really care for a very natural look and these pair well on the eyes and cheeks to do just that.

3.  Nip + Fab Viper Venom Eye Fix

Now why do Ms. Faux be lovin' this?  Well Ms. Faux do hate to put on an eye cream, and as I understand it, you are supposed to.  I don't think this absolves you from doing that but this serum feels just so dang good going on that with this little luxury I will follow up with the cream.

The great aspect of this product is the the lovely metal ball tip.

Now I'm pretty sure Garnier has a version of this product and by the reviews, theirs may be better, but I do know that I just love how this little honey feels on my eyes.

4.  Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel - NEW PRODUCT!!!

Now Ms. Faux as she has mentioned before has been blessed with fairly good skin.  A shout out to my Native American heritage for which it shows most traits of.  Were there to be an issue it would be that Ms. Faux does not drink enough water and thus gets a little dehydrated, sometimes has mild hormonal breakouts and lastly has more dead skin on the jawline area.  Again within reason but it is probably the biggest issue and is probably due to lack of maintenance rather than m' skin doin' anything wrong.  Don't worry skin, Ms. Faux don't hate... she appreciate your efforts despite her hedonistic efforts to starve you of water.

Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel $34 at Sephora

I do think I have fallen in love.  What boscia claims this product to do...

A lightweight peeling gel that delivers gentle exfoliation for deeper, more thorough cleansing results. This peel gel works in three ways: as a physical peel to remove the outer layer of dead skin, as a chemical peel to penetrate deep into skin for in-depth exfoliation, and as a treatment to firm and brighten for a healthy complexion. Formulated for all skin types.

Ms. Faux do agree.  I also jump on the bandwagon that this is gentle enough for daily use.  There are no bits in it to scratch your skin.  It is more like removing glue from your hands in grade school.

Ms. Faux has only used for a couple days and has already seen an improvement in the area.  She also can't wait to try some of their other products.

5.  Sephora Collection Radiance Cleansing Foam

So as I'm mentioned I'm trying to clear up a couple things with my skin right now.  A small breakout caused by hormones as well as extra moisturizing I'm doing to prevent the dry skin issue on my jawline.  So in the mornings I like to use a very fresh feeling cleanser on my skin that isn't too drying but removes the excess oils and that is Sephora's Radiance Cleansing Foam.

Sephora Radiance Cleansing Foam $15 @ Sephora
Sephora claims:

It is a gentle foam that cleanses and smooths in one simple step for a "new skin effect".   This ultrasoft and rich foam cleanses and removes even the most intense makeup without drying out the skin. It provides gentle daily exfoliation and contains AHA for refined skin texture, tightened pores, and a radiant complexion. The formula is so effective it can even be applied as a mask once per week for a stronger exfoliating action.

Ms. Faux do agree.  It is perfect to clean out everything without drying too much.  I only just read about it being able to be used as a mask once a week.  Ooooooh child, you know how Ms. Faux love a good multi-use product.  I will have to try and shout back at you.

So there it be hunties.  Ms. Faux's top 5 products that she used this week to look pretty or at least not scare the children.

Have you tried any of these products?
