If Products Were Men: Second Chances

So Ms. Faux thinks about some cosmetics (particularly the questionable ones) as men from her past.  Most she writes off, but some were wonderful people in her life.  Some just sat around worthless and sponging off my Faux and just making her miserable and some legitimately are very protective and do take care of Ms. Faux best interest.

Then & Now  - Jokes Ms. Faux Doin' O.k. Ya'll
How does that have anything to do with cosmetics???  So the good people at Sephora just made FauxPrah a deal she didn't think she could pass up.  Regardless that I no longer had my receipt (they could look it under my VIB Rouge Membership) and I had it for over 3 weeks, they would replace my Diorskin Nude Air Foundation.

Dior Diorskin Nude Air Foundation $53 at Dior

Now why on earth would this make a big deal to Faux?  Well because hunties that be $53 and ooooooh child I just thought I made a pretty expensive mistake like some of the men in my life.

Well today I thought I would take Ms. Sephora up on her offer.  I should say that 3 weeks ago where FauxPrah lives in Chicago, it was cold and windy.  The skin still be a bit dry.  Hunties it needed a drink!

Springtime in Chicago
Ms. Faux did not like.  It sat on her skin. Did not blend in.  Even her good friend Ms. Kat was NOT impressed and you better Ms. believe Ms. Kat also don't throw no punches.  She still kicks Ms. FauxPrah in her ass to this date.  She said the same thing about this product.

So this morning it is a lovely 70 degrees out and Ms. Faux thought, I'll give it another whirl before I take it back.  Skin is in a bit better conditioned and wonderfully moisturized.  How did it fare?

Let's just say, it now continues to reside in my foundation drawer.  It ended perfectly right.  It is perfectly light and lovely and blended wonderfully.  So what am I saying?  I don't think this is the foundation for drier skin, but damn if Ms. Faux didn't just find the most perfect summer foundation.

Now Ms. Faux do need to give a little shout out to her BeautyBlender.  This sweet little hunty has taken lesser and made it wonderful, but I will give Ms. Dior her due.  It worked beautifully.  Ms. BeautyBlender was only use to smooth out the edges.

So what is the moral to this story?  Second chances can be a worthwhile thing, but Ms. FauxPrah will stick to her overall rule...

"Don't Make Excuses
For Grown Ass Men" - Ms. Faux

Well with this she didn't have to.  Just had to have the right environment.  She now do love.
