So I'm all dry and walk into a KIEHLS!!! - Fantastic moisturization to beat the dry air.

Hi hunties,

Stressful weekend, but I'm planning on catching up this week with a bunch of different blogs, including a Faux Fave - Best of 2015 which will touch on everything from skin care, hair care, cosmetics, tools, etc...

Til then...

Today as I was headed to the bank my skin was all parched due to the cold Chicago air.  It was pretty terrible actually.

I figured I would be by a L'Occitane which carries one of my most favorite every hand creams, the L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, however I just so happened to spot the Kiehl's store sign and I knew I needed some lip balm as well so I went there first and got my balm.

What is it?  According to Kiehls.com...

  • Our no-shine lip treatment helps to mend and soothe lips in-flight or any time.
  • Allergy tested/ Dermatologist tested/ Safe for sensitive skin

What does Ms. Faux think?

It was fine for the type of lip dryness that I have right now which is just slightly dry.  I don't think it would be the one that I would reach for if I had severely dry lips though.  For that I would likely grab for my Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm or at night my Rose de Baume by byTerry.

It is lovely and cooling and will put a bit of gloss on your lips though it claims it is a no-shine.  Perhaps I put too much on, but it was definitely glossier.  I like that, but not sure how well it would work for a man unless they use much less than I do.

Then... while purchasing my balm I looked and saw their...

What is it?  According to Kiehls.com...

  • Helps protect against and repair the appearance of severe dryness caused by heavy industrial work, manual labor, neglect, or exposure to harsh elements
  • Allows skin to draw and absorb water from the air, forming a "glove–like" protective barrier against moisture loss
  • Contains a blend of botanical oils and natural wax derived from Olive Oil to soothe, moisturize, and condition skin
  • A customer favorite

What does Ms. Faux think?

It is a Kiehl's customer favorite, something I just realized once I started researching this blog, and now Ms. Faux is a convert.

One thing I hate is greasy hands when I use a balm because I work with a lot of paperwork in my profession.  The other thing I hate about most hand creams that I use that don't leave behind a greasy residue is they don't feel protecting.  This hand cream solved all of those problems.

The dry down of the product feels almost like a matte foundation.  You can tell there is something there acting as a barrier, but it is in no way greasy.  It soaks in soooooo fast while moisturizing and protecting your hands from the elements.

I know this hand cream will be sitting on my desk at work, but with its delicious light eucalyptus scent this may be finding its way onto my night table, coffee table, coat pocket, purse and other locations I keep hand creams.  It may be putting many other products out of business.  I do love this stuff.

So there you go.  What are some of your favorite, "go to," chapped, winter products.  Let me know.  Also...

If ya'll love it please tell all of your friends and follow her on the following sites.  If you don't... tell your enemies and just sit back and laugh at how they were sent to my ramblings.  And remember... if you don't look good, then Ms. Faux be lookin' like a damn fool.
