So I skipped last week's Fab Five Friday as I was on the road traveling. I was going to skip it altogether, but I'm going to put it in a little later as a, "Fab Five Road Trip Edition." For now however... on with the Fab Five products that kept Ms. Faux feelin' fresh.
What is it? According to Sephora.com...
What it is:
A revolutionary drop formula of concentrated pigments that allows you to weightlessly transform products in your beauty regimen into your ideal coverage.
What it does:
This innovative formula contains Flash Fusion Technology, so as soon as you drop in and mix with your favorite product, nothing but pure pigment is left behind—allowing you to customize your ideal level of coverage. Blend them with anything liquid to create your desired coverage, including moisturizers, serums, oils, primers, foundations, and tinted moisturizers that are water-, oil-, or silicone-based. Simply adjust your coverage by the number of drops you add. The pigments are coated with lecithin, which is biochemically similar to the skin, to ensure seamless blending, precise control, and the smoothest application.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates
What else you need to know:
Custom Cover Drops are NOT designed to be used alone. Failure to shake well before adding drops to your favorite product will distort the coverage and result in less than desirable results. Control your level of coverage by adjusting how many drops you use: one drop for sheer coverage, two drops for medium coverage, three drops for full coverage, and four drops for total coverage.
This product is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner.
What does Ms. Faux think?
Folks... I love these and I thought I only loved them in the summer as I could use them with sheer face lotions without a lot of moisture in it because I sweat a lot. Wrong. You can use them all the time and winter is even better.
The entire idea behind Cover FX Custom drops is that you can tint your favorite moisturizer, primer or add dimension to other foundations, tinted moisturizers, etc... The sky is the limit. The wonderful thing about this product is that you can also build. 1 drop is great for a tinted moisturizer, but you can keep adding drops of the product to build up to medium or full coverage.
Today Ms. Faux paired hers with here next favorite in this week's Fab Five Friday for glowy skin.
What is it? According to Sephora.com...
What it is:
A liquid highlighter that perfects skin with light-reflecting pearls for a soft, natural glow.
What it does:
Achieve a subtle luminosity. This formula features ultrafine light-reflecting pearls that melt into your skin for polished, natural-looking radiance. Water-light and sheer, it has a prismatic effect that allows it to adjust in any light, so your refined glow is never lost.
What else you need to know:
This product has been dermatologically tested.

So I don't know if it is because of the heat coming on or that I'm sick but Ms. Faux's skin has felt hella dehydrated and dull. So this morning along with the Color FX which I was just going to plop into some Clarins Extra Firming Day Cream ($85 at Sephora.com), however I went ahead and put my moisturizer on as usual and just added the Color FX to the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector.
Now Becca along with Hourglass in my personal opinion does the best in overall Highlighting products. Note that I didn't say they are the best. I don't know what my opinion is on that, but overall they have the best lines for this sort of thing. So basically I'm saying if you get one, you won't be disappointed. Tip: For a more budget friendly buy look into Hard Candy's Sheer Glow All The Way (Available for $8 at WalMart.com).
But back to Becca. I selected Moonstone because Ms. Faux is as pale as the driven snow and it just works for her, however Opal seems to be their baby, but they can go even paler with Pearl and darker with Topaz & Rose Gold. I really do think there is something in their line for everyone.

I have covered this system before and rather than waste your time here I will link you back to the more comprehensive review I did earlier in the year. Just click HERE.
Seriously though to pat myself on the back these colors are neutral look perfection. I also like that as you have your board and are adding your product for your custom palette you feel like an artist. Want a fun shopping outing? Head to Macy's and seek out the Inglot counter. Too much fun to be had.

I've already called it a dupe for Fresh's Sugar Lip Balms in an earlier blog this week and they allude to that dupe in their description. Click HERE for that blog. It however is Ms. Faux's favorite sheer lip look and a lip product that I think will look great on so many people.
What is it? According to DermStore.com...
Dr.Hauschka Translucent Bronzing Tint (formerly Translucent Bronze Concentrate). livens up your complexion with a gorgeous glow as it hydrates and conditions. Its skin-enhancing liquid features a blend of witch hazel and anthyllis to refine and purify pores while soothing inflammation. When blended with your favorite Dr.Hauschka moisturizer it creates a flattering finish and minimizes the appearance of blemishes and perfects your complexion.
Dr. Hauschka skin care focuses on natural ingredients and takes a holistic approach. What does Ms. Faux think?
First of all Ms. Faux fails at bronzing her face. I kind of feel like I make it just look like a big ol' dirty mess so I skip it. Still I love the look that other women get when they do theirs. So warm. My face also takes up a whole lotta real estate so bronzing helps to diminish that. Still I just have an aversion to it. That is until now. This product changes the game.
It is so simple to pump out a tiny bit and smooth all over your face. Pump out a bit more if you want a more bronzed look. I'm quite fair so it would look crazy if I did that so I just use a tiny bit.
It smells amazing, not like that disturbing fake tan smell. It has a very herbalistic plant smell. Another thing is that it hydrates your skin soooooo much, again unlike fake tan which tends to dehydrate.
My face looked radiant and I finally had that glow that I see all other women perfect with their powder bronzers. Note you can also get this at CVS Pharmacy for $39. Just amazing.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
So it has to be said. I keep reaching for these two products week after week. I will link the blog where I started using them, but know that I really haven't stopped. They are AmazeBALLS!
Absolute perfection in a drugstore mascara. I find myself reaching for this over my more expensive brands. Length. Separation. Perfection.
I don't know what I did without this product before. It makes such a quick fix of your brows. I said I would only use this on days I was running late, but know I have been reaching for it more than that.
