Wrightwood Furniture Company

So sugar going about the same so I'm not going to waste any time because this weekend while BROWSING.  Yes... only browsing, I discovered Wrightwood Furniture Store here in Chicago.

So what is funny is that I have probably driven within blocks of this store at any given time.  Hell, I likely drove past it multiple times.  But one day recently I took a wrong turn and they just so happened to have a Chicago Flag piece of art sitting outside.  Couldn't go that day, but did I ever this weekend.

I cannot believe I have never been inside.  It is pure Faux glam.  That is to say industrial chic at it's best.  The thing that makes it all the more worth it, their lovely burlap Chicago Flag pillows.

As you can see, not only pillows, but also ottomans and floor poofs.  I have been looking for this type of aged/distressed versions of the flag for years.  I have even bought art and distressed it myself.  Needless to say when this spending challenge is over these will likely be the first things I buy.  I was in love.

It didn't stop there though.  There are two floors, in warehouse style, overloaded with items.  It is an industrial decorators dream.

That isn't to say that if you don't do industrial that there is nothing in there for you.  Like any store, if you have a discerning eye you can find things that work.  Hell, Ms. Faux buys all her frames from IKEA.  Why?  Because they are clean and classic looking.  If you are doing mixes of decor in your home, ultimately it will not matter.

So there you go.  Many may have heard about it and international readers I'm sorry for posting something so close to my home, but I just had to share this with my more local readers.  It is heavenly.

I also have my eye on this gorgeous, studded, aged, red leather chair.  It will make a perfect desk chair in my new apartment.
