Notes: Fragrance notes: bergamot, tropical fruits, vanilla, caramel and patchouli.

What does Ms. Faux think?
This is her go to scent. Second only to LUSH's The Olive Branch Perfume this one has been with Ms. Faux for a very long time. Every time I wear it someone asks me what it is. Every time I smell it I know exactly what it is. It is as delicious as it sounds. I would add that it seems a bit chocolaty as well. Normally not my favorite scent, but this is just delicious and makes you feel like you have been wrapped up in a blanket on a cold winter day with a lovely cup of hot cocoa. It is perfection in a very gorgeous bottle.
Notes: gardenia and white exotic florals
gaye Straza spent her youth vacationing in the tropics. after years of avoiding mainstream perfumes because they did not agree with her, straza decided to create a scent for herself that embodied the exotic white flowers she loved. for several months she worked tirelessly with a small boutique fragrance house to develop what we now know as kai fragrance.
What does Ms. Faux think?
If you are looking for the perfect gardenia scent look no further. I have been searching for years. Erin Lauder released a limited edition perfume a couple of years back that did the trick, but it was, limited edition. Kai you can buy at any time and I actually think is better than the Erin Lauder perfume. It is luscious gardenia and I swear tuberose which is Ms. Faux's favorite white flower scent. It is delectable and reminds Ms. Faux so much of the South.
Notes: bergamot, mandarin, lemon and orange
with an infusion of vine leaves, sea salt and fresh mandarin juice, it’s just like a warm embrace from the Mediterranean. It’s uplifting and reassuring, and brings peace of mind and body
What does Ms. Faux think?
Oh God, Oh God, Oh God, Oh God. It is perfection in a bottle. It is Jesus if you believe. It is cheese grits next to bacon. It is everything. This is without a doubt Ms. Faux's favorite perfume of all time.
The only problem with this perfume is that is is ALWAYS LIMITED EDITION. Come on LUSH!!! How could you. Still they do release it from time to time and Ms. Faux spends a couple hundred dollars stocking up when it does.
More than the Mediterranean it reminds Ms. Faux of what she would expect Tuscany to smell like. The lovely citrus is not too overwhelming and a bit sweeter than a regular tart citrus smell. The olive balances it out with also a really fresh sea salt smell to it. It is what it says, a warm embrace that brings peace of mind and body.
Notes: nutmeg, coriander, Sicilian tangerine, bergamot, sandalwood, cedar, Indian amber, Bourban vanilla
Softly spicy, warm and powdery, undeniably feminine -- this is a fragrance we would be happy to wear every day and then spritz on a bit more to go to bed. Made from natural raw materials using organic methods, the signature fragrance from Austrian designer Nanadebary is exquisite in every detail. Subtle and distinctive and sexy.
What does Ms. Faux think?
First of all it is expensive so I only wear it on special occasions. This is an intensely sexy scent very woody with a hint of tangerine and bergamot peaking through, grounded by the bourban vanilla.
There was a cult following of this scent. Madonna is said to be a fan and I understand why. There is nothing in this world like it.
Notes: lemon, bergamot, musk, vanilla, sandalwood
This was created to smell like clean, naked skin, but honestly, we have yet to meet anyone whose skin smelled this good all on its own. Maybe the skin of an angel? Maybe the skin of a fallen angel, looking for a little trouble? Warm, soft, subtle and extremely sexy, this very wearable fragrance is wonderful on its own and perfect for layering under other scents, as well, to make them warmer and more enduring. A staple on many Hollywood vanities.
What does Ms. Faux think?
It is what is says. It is what I wish my clean, naked skin to smell like. This is the perfect musk. The lemon and bergamot keep it from being to heavy and the vanilla softens it. This is how all soap should smell, not soapy but delicious. This perfume reminds Ms. Faux of warm, sweet memories.
Notes: Tahitian gardenia, French muguet du bois, hints of island vanilla orchid
this sultry blend of come-hither gardenia, lilting muguet du bois and luscious and earthy vanilla orchid is fresh and beautiful and incredibly seductive, so it is no surprise that it is one of our perennial top-sellers. We are thrilled to offer this beloved fragrance in its newest incarnation – an eau de parfum. All of the sexy tropical dreaminess remains intact, thank goodness, but it feels a touch smoother and airier to us in this version. A little less earthy, a little more island breeze – still utterly bewitching. And the sillage is fabulous.

Remember how I said the limited edition Erin Lauder and Kai fragrances were the perfect gardenia scent. Well here is actually the first one that I discovered. I first found this at Anthropologie and then managed to stalk it for years until it was imported regularly into the US.
Unlike Kai which is more floral, this is a much warmer scent with the vanilla. It does smell like an island breeze. This is nothing short of perfection.
Notes: Italian mandarin. jasmine absolute. Indonesian patchouli.
Created for an elegant and spirited young woman in love, Miss Dior Eau de Parfum inspires the intense and playful love for which she is searching. The fragrance is a chypre characterized by an instant and captivating charm. Developing step by step, it glides from the sharp charm of a fresh, fruity, citrus prelude into blossoming floral notes then on to the noble elegance of patchouli before finally concluding with musk, the last trace of memory.
What does Ms. Faux think?
I initially bought this perfume as a gift for a friend. Shortly after I fell in love. It reminds Ms. Faux of her favorite Original Pink scent from Soap & Glory, but at an elevated level. Anytime I go anywhere nice this is my go to perfume. I think it is so elegant. I find I like citrus scents so long as they are balanced with a more woody or musky scent. This has both. Also the bottle, like most of Dior's packaging is gorgeous, delicate and like art to look at.
Notes: Orange Leaf, Lemon, Peach, Sweet Strawberries, Mandarin, Summer Rose, Gardenia Blooms, Jasmine, Patchouli, Warm Amber, Lush Musk.
Original Pink features Soap & Glory's signature rose and bergamot scent. Fresh top notes include orange leaf, lemon, peach, and sweet strawberries. Its sparkling heart features mandarin, summer rose, gardenia blooms, and jasmine. This gorgeous floral-chypre fragrance rests on a base of patchouli, warm amber, and lush musks.

This, other than LUSH's The Olive Branch, is my go to body wash in the shower. In their body wash form it is called, Clean on Me. This just makes it more perfect that you can layer this with their body lotion and wash. Soap and Glory has hit it out of the park with the most affordable, expensive smelling original Pink scent. The only bad thing about this perfume? It isn't easily found in the states and when you do $$$ Still their bath and body products are to die for.
Notes: Fresh lemon, plum, black currant, Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian Orange, tuberose, blue cyclamen, white, butterfly jasmine, sandalwood, vetiver, crisp amber

I was first introduced to Oribe by my hairdresser Samuel. Oribe as mentioned above was first a hair care line. I absolutely understand how the masses likely adored the way their hair smelled and insisted and their body smell the same way. Again a unifying scent in all of Ms. Faux's perfumes, bergamot intermingles with jasmine and another favorite scent sandalwood.
This is yet another expensive smelling scent indicative of Dior's Miss Dior Cherie. So very luscious and sexy.
Notes: Mandarin, Tuberose, Gardenia & Vetiver
A decidedly different collection of brilliantly paired fragrance notes housed in an alluring glass bottle decorated with an image of the most romantic of monuments.
What does Ms. Faux think?
I will admit, the packaging was what initially drew me to this. The Eiffel tower you see above is actually printed on the back of the front label. it is what you see when you look through the back of the bottle. I love it, because I have worked in theatre and like that added dimension.
The scent however is Ms. Faux's probably freshest scents she owns. Again with citrus, but this time is grounded in vetiver which is a more crisp woody scent. This reminds Ms. Faux of a lovely scent distilled in the 20s. It gives a throwback charm that I just love.
So there it is. Ms. Faux's Top Ten Perfumes... right off the top of her head so you know these are the ones she be lovin'. Interestingly enough all are citrus based in a white flower and a woody scent. I do love the layers and complexity of scents.
What are your favorite scents?
Any of the above?
